Tata Motors Reports November Sales
Tata Motors announced a 1.73% decrease in total global sales for November 2023, with figures standing at 74,172 units compared to 75,478 units in November 2022.
Domestic Market Performance
In terms of domestic sales, Tata Motors recorded a total of 72,647 units in November 2023, down 1% from 73,467 units in the same period last year.
Passenger Vehicle Sales
The company’s passenger vehicle (PV) sales, which include electric vehicles (EVs), totaled 46,143 units globally, showing a 1% decline from 46,425 units in November 2022. However, in the domestic market, PV sales were slightly higher at 46,068 units, a marginal increase from 46,037 units in the previous year.
Growth in Electric Vehicles
Notably, sales of passenger EVs witnessed growth, with 4,761 units sold in November 2023 compared to 4,451 units in November 2022, marking a 7% increase.
Commercial Vehicle Sales
On the commercial vehicles (CV) front, Tata Motors reported a total of 28,029 units sold globally in November 2023, down 4% from 29,053 units in November 2022. Domestic CV sales were also lower at 26,579 units, reflecting a 3% decrease from 27,430 units in the previous year.
Despite the overall decline in global and domestic sales, the positive trend in passenger EV sales signals potential growth opportunities in the electric vehicle segment for Tata Motors.
