The X11 Global Flagship Store stands as China’s largest toy collection emporium, boasting an extensive array of products catering to diverse interests. With a focus on providing immersive spatial experiences tailored to young consumers’ preferences, the design team embarked on a journey to redefine the concept of retail.

Innovative Facade Design

Central to the store’s transformation is the renovation of its five-story facade. Embracing the concept of “blind boxes,” the facade now features a striking LED lighting wall, captivating passersby and beckoning them to explore within. By illuminating distinct pixel patterns at night, the facade serves as a beacon, effectively expressing the brand’s identity and attitude.

“X Ark”: A Narrative Journey

To infuse the space with storytelling elements, the design team conceptualized “X Ark” as the overarching theme. Evoking the imagery of rebirth after doomsday, the store becomes a refuge for beauty, a spiritual haven for Gen Z, and a visionary realm built upon the remnants of an apocalyptic landscape.

Cyberpunk Aesthetics

The interior design seamlessly blends cyberpunk and wasteland aesthetics, creating a futuristic ambiance that captivates visitors. Removing floor slabs to connect the ground and underground levels enhances spatial continuity, while exposed concrete beams and columns add an industrial flair. Silver matte stainless steel and exposed grey cement, accentuated by innovative lighting and multimedia displays, evoke a sense of technology and sophistication.

Dramatic Design Elements

A towering six-meter-high shelf serves as a focal point, visually integrating the two floors and adding a touch of drama to the space. A transparent glass bridge blurs physical boundaries, inviting exploration and engagement. The exclusive “X Time Tunnel” offers a futuristic journey through scenes reminiscent of comics and animation exhibitions, further enhancing the store’s allure.
