In a strategic move, SAIF Partners, one of India’s most successful venture capital firms, has rebranded itself as Elevation Capital. This transformation comes with the launch of their seventh fund in India, signaling a new chapter for the firm amidst the challenges posed by the ongoing pandemic.

Founded in 2001, SAIF Partners has played a pivotal role in India’s startup ecosystem, backing numerous successful ventures, with seven of them achieving unicorn status. Despite its illustrious track record, the firm recognized the need for a fresh identity that better reflects its investment ethos and vision for the future.
Rationale Behind the Rebranding
The decision to rebrand from SAIF Partners to Elevation Capital stemmed from a desire to align the firm’s name with its core values and investment philosophy. While the SAIF acronym originated from Softbank Asia Infrastructure Fund, the departure of SoftBank as a Limited Partner in 2004 rendered the association obsolete. Deepak Gaur, Managing Director of Elevation Capital, emphasized that the new name signifies a renewed commitment to their partners and founders, encapsulating their dedication to elevating businesses to new heights.

Despite the rebranding, Elevation Capital remains steadfast in its investment strategy and focus areas.
